Experience

Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

I have been a leading apparel designer and product manager in the retail industry with over ten years of expertise in big-known corporate brands and I have worked as a freelancer with local brands, national companies and entrepreneurs for six years.

THE PROCESS

The Process… Step By Step!

The Research

I start by analyzing and forecasting trends, researching the brand's market and competition, and paying attention to new technology, materials, and techniques.

The Inspiration- The Mood Board

I develop main concepts that will tide the collection together by understanding the brand and collections goal and researching trendsetting movements. Understanding shapes, colors, textures, materials, and techniques. Finally, create a visual aid, The Mood Board.

The design

After understanding the direction of the collection, I start the creative process of designing each garment. I create an Illustrator vector file for each style as a rendered flat fashion sketch (CADS). Each garment is drawn as part of a unique and cohesive collection.

Artwork

I develop graphic designs and artwork using my knowledge of printing applications, embroideries, and techniques. I create artwork, logos, branding labels and trims, and branded packaging.

Tech Packs

Once the collection is approved, we move to the specifics by developing the tech packs, adding all details and call-outs, BOM, and diagrams with the point of measurement and fit specifications.

Manufacturers

We start the conversations with possible manufacturers regarding fabrication versus budget and MOQ.

Product Development

Once we select a manufacturer for each item, I review garment production, fit, fabric color swatches, fabric technology requirements, wash and fabric treatments review, trim quality, branding, labels, and packaging approvals.

Final Product

The collection is ready for delivery, follow-up for sales results, and reviews for feature notes and growth.

FASHION TERMS

Some basic terminology

TREND FORECASTING

Finding insights into fashion can be tricky, and it is a cultivated art. Learning how to read Fashion Shows understand fashion trends worldwide, and observe human habits and behaviors to forecast necessities.

Forecasting a trend can also be found in fashionistas. Appreciating these trendsetters creating new styles with their artistic view, their interpretation of trends imposed by the designer's houses, and combining the urban  Ready-to-wear street styles is also a fun way to dive into trends.

MOOD BOARD

Mood boards are physical or digital collages that arrange images, materials, text, and other design elements into a format representative of the final design's style. Mood boards can be used for creating brand designs, product designs, and pretty much any other type of design project.

CADS

CAD stands for "computer-aided design." It's designed to create computer models based on geometric designs. CAD designs are usually depicted as 2D flat patterns or 3D models represented on a computer model. CAD designs are essential for getting products to market as quickly and efficiently as possible

TECH PACK

A tech pack or Technical Package is a detailed blueprint describing a product's design so it can be manufactured accurately to achieve the look desired by the designer. A Tech pack is typically a document created by designers, technical designers, and product developers.
